The lodge is wonderful with many activities and amenities. You must buy or rent townhomes or individual homes. You must pay for someone to care for your lawn and the outside of your building. Also, you must pay for someone to shovel your walkway and plow your driveway. Overall though, I was impressed by the PT, OT and speech therapists- they are all excellent. Also the two administrators were very caring and attentive. Every time I saw them they chatted with me about my dad and asked how he was doing. The dietitian tried really hard to accommodate my dad's needs, but the kitchen didn't seem to back her up very well. Overall I would say that the care exceeded my expectations and I would recommend Heritage Harbor to anyone needing a rehab.
Call buttons laying on floors resident unable to reach (on purpose?) No customisation of meals. Was present when Mother's roommate died WHILE WE WERE IN THE ROOM VISITING! Body left in room w/my mother for hours, while dead roommates family traveled from out-of-state. Mom went in with full set of natural teeth, except for a few, all her teeth broke off at the gum-line from lack of dental care. Most staff is friendly, physical care is great but they could do a better job with mental health.
